Hi to All,
Hope you're enjoying the summer. It’s been a busy one for me with travels to Michigan and back several times already. We have a lot of family in Michigan and always enjoy summer time up there. It beats the Texas heat in July for sure!!

I want to share a few thoughts with you about living life without limits. To some that might mean living life without any restraint, which is not what I am speaking of. I often explain to my children parameters and consequences for bad decisions. Limitations are for our good and very necessary. But the life without limits that I am talking about is the life as a partaker of the divine nature of God.

In 2 Peter 1:3 & 4 it says, "seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust".

I don’t know if we fully comprehend what is being said here but we have been given partnership in His nature. The creativity, the power, and the limitless resources of heaven have been afforded us. There is no end to the creative flow that comes from the Godhead. We ought to be the most creative, most innovative, and excellent people in the earth because we are yoked to the Creator Himself. His mind, His thoughts, His power become ours because He loves to share it with us!! May the Lord grant you great grace in the days to come to tap into His limitless nature and fulfill all of your destiny.

Looking forward to the upcoming worship conference at Sojourn church in the Dallas area! Also, I'll be brushing up on my German while helping Gateway in the studio on a German translation for many of their worship songs, as they extend ministry into Europe. And finally, we are making preparations for the release of “Prepare the Way,” our new live worship recording. We'll have more information about the release in next month's enewsletter.

I am truly excited for what the future holds in the Kingdom. The King is on His throne forever! We really are a privileged people. May praise arise in all the earth to make Him great!

Greetings to all!
Hope this letter finds you doing wonderful! I think summer has arrived (at least here in Texas anyway). The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever!

I wanted to respond to a question I received recently on twitter from a new worship Pastor. He asked what advice I would give to him and I thought I would share it in this format because I believe it would be helpful to many. I teach often on leading worship and all that goes along with it.

Because church life is all about relationships, I think that coming into a new setting with a true servant’s heart is the first order of business. We as worship leaders are not God’s gift to the church but rather Pastors that ought to love and serve the people. It really is an honor to be given a platform in which you get to lead God’s people into the places of His heart week after week. There is so much more I could say about this but I’m reminded of the time that Jesus took the towel and began to wash the disciple’s feet, teaching them that the greatest in the Kingdom is the servant of all! I remember going to a Tommy Barnett Pastor’s conference in Phoenix some years ago. There were several thousand pastors there and Tommy was the guy heading it all up. I was walking into the sanctuary when out of nowhere Pastor Tommy made an effort to come over and introduce himself to me, telling me he was so glad I was there and making himself available in anyway to help make my time there more special. The spirit of Christ in the man left a mark on my heart. I really believe that people will trust and follow you if they know you’re the real deal!!

Don’t come in to show them a “better way”, but see what’s in the house, what’s working, and then ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how to bring them to the place He wants the church to be! Worship leaders lead worship....what an amazing idea! You’re not a song leader, performer, etc... but you lead people in worship. Point them to the most amazing King of all! He’s beautiful and awesome in every way and if you’ll remind them of how great He is, it will be easy.

Last little thought is to understand that change takes time. There is probably a reason that you were enlisted. Your responsibility is to lead the sheep to green pastures. Lead is the key word here. Don’t expect things to change overnight but take your time, build relationships, lead worship and let God establish your leadership as you serve in the Kingdom!

On a closing note, we are packaging and getting the new recording ready. I can’t wait for you to hear it. We are so pleased to have a DVD to go with it. It really is an experience into the presence! You’ll be hearing more about it the next couple months.

I wish you a blessed summer, safe travels, and the touch of His presence on all you do!!

Grace and Peace,

Hi Everybody,
Today I am writing from Michigan where I will travel to the state capital and join many others for the national day of prayer. As my Pastor said on Sunday, "there are a lot of attacks on Christianity and on our freedoms, but we must pray at every opportunity". There were many saints in the scripture that were told they were not to pray but their response was that they had to honor God, which is what our response should be!

Last Friday I attended the Gateway worship recording and was blessed as the presence of God was in the house. I was honored to have had a part in writing a couple of the songs used that evening. One of the songs they sang was the one that we are releasing as the song of the month. It’s called “Praise Him”. Every time I sing this song, my two youngest children (Aaron and Olivia) start running around the living room chasing each other and jumping up and down as they go. Whenever I sing the verse or bridge little Olivia (my 2 year old) says, "Daddy sing Praise Him!". I can never get away from the chorus for very long! We recorded the song for our new release in the studio a few weeks ago. It’s a song declaring the praise of God.

I was able to get to Nashville for the Dove awards a few weeks ago and celebrate the favor of the Lord on both Kari Jobe and Jennie Riddle. Both won doves and it was fun to be a part of their journey! From the simple chapels and simple songs that we sang at Christ for the Nations to the music and worship reaching into all the earth! Awesome! While there I connected with Lindell Cooley for the day and had a great time just hanging out. The man always encourages me!! Let’s continue to pray for the people in Nashville in regards to all the flooding.

On another note, Candace, my 14 year old, just finished her volleyball season (she played for Club Legacy) and it was a great experience. Her team did awesome and it was a time to make a lot of new friends and enjoy some great competition. I am so proud of her and am enjoying this season of her life. I don’t always talk about her but she is a wonderful young lady for sure!

Some friends just sent out a beautiful violin for my 5 year old son, Aaron, to start taking music lessons. We pulled out the violin and all of us played it. I can’t wait to get him into lessons.

In closing, I want to update on the recording that will be released shortly. I feel like the touch of God is on it in a very special way and very much look forward to releasing it. We are calling it “Prepare the Way”. We recorded video of the evening and are very excited about releasing it as well. I believe It is such a timely message for the church. The Lord is about to Roar out of Zion! Make way for the King!

I trust this letter finds you and your loved ones blessed! The Father is seeking those who would worship in Spirit and in truth. Keep Worshipping!!

Hi Again,
Hoping you enjoyed the Easter weekend. My family had a great time celebrating!!

Listening to the radio last week, a Jewish gentlemen said that he was taking off a few days to celebrate Passover. I decided that I need to celebrate the season with my family remembering the significance of what Easter is all about.

I have three children, Candace 14, Aaron Judah 5, and Olivia 2. As you can imagine I can’t explain everything the same way to all three. But I told Julie that I wanted to make this Easter a significant time, remembering that it was in this season that the Power of the Holy Spirit raised Christ out of the grave and seated Him at the right hand of the Father. All authority and power has been given to Him for the ages to come!

I called my friend Brian who loves the Jewish customs, and along with some other friends, we ordered some Lamb, and planned a Seder meal together. Brian prepared the lamb and then reminded all of us what Passover really meant. The nation of Israel had been enslaved by the Egyptians, Pharaoh had hardened his heart and refused to let them go. God sent the judgment and plagues, the last being the death of every first born of Egypt, upon all those who did not have the blood of the Lamb upon their doorpost. Each Jewish family brought a lamb into the house (the lamb stayed with them, the children becoming attached to it). Then they were instructed to slay the lamb, place the blood over the doorpost, cook it, eat it in haste, and prepare to leave Egypt.

We all know the story but it is up to me to teach my children the significance of it and to remember. How soon we forget! Jesus the lamb (beloved of the Father), layed down His life, and the Father looking at us passes over our sins forever because the blood of the Lamb is over the doorpost of our hearts. We celebrate a resurrection that is glorious. Because of this, our lives are forever changed! The scripture says that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now dwells in us!

We ate the Lamb, ate lots of chocolate, and remembered how great His love towards us is and celebrated the risen Lord!! I hope you will always remember!

I was honored just a few days ago to help lead worship at the memorial service for Mrs. Freda Lindsay. What an incredible lady. I would need an entire enewsletter to just begin to tell you of how great an impact she had in the earth. I have often said that if the book of Hebrews was being written today, I believe she would be one of the heroes mentioned! It was a celebration of an amazing life!

On another note, we are about to finish the mix on the new CD. It has been a bit slow in finishing but is turning out to be an incredible project that you’ll be able to enjoy and experience the touch of God. As many of you know, Kari Jobe was a big part of the night. I believe this CD will be a powerful tool to release worship into the nations. It was a night to “Prepare the Way for the Lord! “ We’ll keep you posted on the release of the CD along with the DVD.

The free mp3 this month is called "Conversations" and is off of the Serenity project. It is an instrumental song and I think you will really enjoy it. We are running a promotion this month on the two Instrumental CDs and are selling them as a combo for $15.

Many blessings on you and yours,

Hi Everybody,

In January I wrote about a benefit event we were planning for Chris & Linsday Rogers. Thought I would update on that. We had a wonderful night of worship with Marco Barrientos, Zach Neese, Walker Beach, myself, and many others including friends and worshippers that came out to be a part of the event. It was held at Heartland World Ministries Church with Pastor Steve Hill. The house was full. We were able to come into the presence, pray over Chris and Lindsay, and be an encouragement them. The added blessing was that we raised $10,000 to bless them to be able to help with some of the medical bills and ongoing needs they have incurred. We continue to stand with them for a complete healing and ask you to continue to believe as well.

I want to quote John Piper from the first chapter of his book, The Dangerous Duty of Delight. He says, “I write this little book because the truth and beauty of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, are breathtaking, I say with the ancient psalmist,

‘One thing have I asked of the Lord
That will I seek after;
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to inquire in His temple’”

I love that. The truth and beauty of the Lord are breathtaking. I’m sure you have at one time or another seen something in creation that took your breath away. Imagine that! In 1 Corinthians 2:9 Paul says, but just as it is written, “THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”

We cannot even conceive the glory and majesty of this amazing King. We only see in part right now but the Father wants to reveal His beauty now to those who desire it. The psalmist said, "ONE THING, have I asked of the Lord". Not two, not three, but just one..... to dwell and to see. I am convinced that our hunger and desire is often too weak. There are so many distractions and so many things tugging at us. The call to us remains... will you come and sit at the feet of Jesus in the midst of your busy life, do you desire Him above all else?

Worthship (english transliteration of the word worship) teaches us that every person worships one thing or another. The thing you ascribe worth to is what you worship. I encourage us all to make the ONE thing in our lives the presence of Jesus. All else really pales in comparison!! And I think when we finally see the face of Jesus one day soon, we’ll be wondering why anything else even mattered!

On a side note, we are going to extend the mp3 of the month “Break Me For The Nations”, for one more month. Not only are we offering the song as a free mp3, but are asking you to help get the word out to your worship and missions pastors. We are offering this version of the song for free to anyone using it for the purpose of missions. Feel free to use it for your videos and promotional material.

Many blessings on you as you journey with Him,

Hi Everybody,
I can hardly believe It’s February already! I always look forward to updating everybody on what is happening and hope that what we write encourages you!

Over a decade ago, I remember writing a song called “Break me for the Nations". I still remember how it moved my heart and I felt destiny, not only on the song but the call to the nations. Since that time I have been privileged to travel all over the world taking worship into the nations. Christ for the Nations recorded it shortly after my original recording of it, and it has blessed many over the years, being used as a missions anthem.

A few months back, Walker Beach called and said that Gateway Church wanted to record a version of the song for their “Let’s Go” Devotional Series. The daily devotions deal with the church touching people every day, one at a time, with no effort being too small. The stories of soccer moms, unwed pregnant mothers, and many others, amaze you as God uses our touch to change lives.

Walker did an incredible job producing the song, and I was blessed to sing and play on the arrangement. Gateway and Integrity music have graciously allowed us to offer the new recorded version as a free download. It really is a moving song that I trust will mobilize many to the harvest field. I am hoping that many missions organizations will use the song to inspire people to touch the world. Please share it with your missions pastor and all those that could use it to reach further.

On another note, we are about to get our most recent recording finished up in the studio and still hope to have it available early spring of this year. We’ll keep you updated on the release!

I wanted to leave you with a thought concerning worship. When the woman with the alabaster jar worshipped Jesus, she spilled the whole of it in a moment. Historians tell us it was very costly. She broke it open preparing Him for the burial to come. The Bible does not say that she measured out a little at a time, not wanting to be excessive, but rather poured it all out in that moment of worship! If we are still measuring our offerings, we have not seen His worth! The religious leaders said it was too much and that she was not worthy, (sounds religious, the very opposite of what Jesus came for, which was to seek and save that which was lost and convert rebels into worshippers). She saw His worth because of what He had done in her life and poured out extravagant worship in exchange for the extravagant love that He had shown her.

My prayer is that all of us learn that type of worship in our lives. Not just in a given moment, but every day. When you are poured out for the broken and the destitute, you do it as unto the Lord, as an act of worship. May we be broken and poured out for the world around us.

Grateful for His goodness,

A very happy and blessed new year to all!
God is very much concerned with seasons and new beginnings! That’s why each and every day comes with new mercies and brings the rising of the sun, declaring His faithfulness to us!

There are many uncertainties that face us going into this new decade. Like never before it is clear that the church of Jesus Christ is under attack. But my encouragement for you going into this New Year is to trust in the Lord with all your heart, being anxious for nothing, knowing that He will always care for His own. Let Your Kingdom come Lord!

Since this is coming from Pure Worship Ministries, I could think of no better way to start the year off than to exhort you to continual praise. Hebrews 13:15 says "Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name".

Pastor Sam Brassfield just sent out a word that the Lord had spoken to him and I want to share with you.... "If its not all about Worship, why then did the devil when tempting Jesus, offer the keys, [authority, glory, rule] of the entire world and all its kingdoms in return - if Jesus would only, "ONE TIME" bow down and worship the devil? I think pure Davidic, living, fresh, moving, Spirit anointed Worship will be key in this next decade".

I feel like this is right on! Worship is the eternal issue of the ages. The promise to restore the Tabernacle of David in the latter days will come to pass. All over the earth worship is arising as a fragrance before Him. Let your life be one that exhales worship at all times.

I am believing God for a year of increase in every realm. In the Spirit, in my soul, and in my physical body as well. And, I am believing with you that you will experience the same! May our worship make great and glorify the name of Jesus in 2010. I’ve included a free download from our Healing Waters CD. The song is called "Holy Spirit move". The words are “we don’t ever want to be the same, breathe upon us now and we’ll be changed”. From glory to glory we go!

Blessings on you and yours,

Klaus

Upcoming Event
On January 22nd I will be joining Marco Barrientos, Walker Beach, Zach Neese, and several other friends to help lead a Night of Worship and Intercession. The evening will be a benefit for Chris and Lindsay Rogers. For those who do not know Chris, he has been involved at Christ for the Nations, teaching, mixing sound, and recording. He has been a good friend throughout the years and has mixed several of our projects. On March 31, 2009, Chris was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, adenoid cystic carcinoma stage 4, which had spread from his neck to his lungs, back and pelvis. The cancer in his back, which threatened his spinal chord and, potentially, his ability to walk, has been surgically removed. But the malignant growths elsewhere still remain. Please join your faith with ours for a miracle for Chris and join us at Hearland World Ministries Church in Irving on January 22nd. There is no charge for this event, but we will receive a love offering for Chris and Lindsay.

Merry Christmas!
Wow, it is that time again. Christmas time is here and I haven’t even started thinking about gifts yet. It seems like most of my gift buying is done in the last few days. Good thing my wonderful wife takes care of most of the buying!!

This has been an incredible year and God has been so good to us here at Pure Worship, and to me personally. There are times when you feel you do not deserve His ongoing goodness, but it is the nature of the Eternal God to give beyond our highest expectations!

I want to thank Mary Zook for all she does day in and out to get the music out there, and to organize every detail of what we do with incredible efficiency. What a gift to the ministry. Thank you Mary!

I want to thank Julie, Candace, Aaron, and Olivia for the the incredible joy they bring into my every day! I am blessed to have the family I do.

As I write, I’m aware of the struggles many of my friends are going through. He is faithful forever! I believe that.

I am reminded of Isaiah chapter 9 as it talks about the advent of the King. "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this."

Wow, the government will rest upon His shoulders! This has been in my spirit much as of late. King Jesus will rule in justice, He is the prince of Peace. The beautiful thing about the Kingdom is that it is now, it is coming, and of the increase of His government there will be no end. I’m not a fan of big government, but when it rests on His shoulders, I say bring it on!!!!

The free mp3 download of the month is called "Beautiful Day". It is from our Christmas CD and I believe you’ll enjoy it. Kari Jobe and Elizabeth Clark both sing on the CD. If you don’t own it, get a few and give them out as gifts. I know they’ll bless and bring a lot of joy as you think about the ultimate gift, Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers. I’m very excited about the new live recording we just completed. I believe God will use it to awaken and bless His people. Thanks to many of you for joining us on that night.

Wishing you a truly blessed Christmas and holiday season. May the Lord bless you, and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you.

Until next year,

Hi to All!
I trust you are enjoying family and friends and this beautiful fall weather. I can hardly believe it is November heading towards Thanksgiving and then on to Christmas! WOW!

November is a very busy month as we prepare for our next recording. I believe this one is unlike any other we have done. I sense something new on the horizon for the church! I spent some time with Kari Jobe this week and she is excited about joining me on this upcoming night of worship. I’m very blessed to see all the good things the Lord is doing through her and it’s a privilege to be a part of that journey. We are writing a song or two together for the project.

My nephew, Christian wrote a song a while back called “Roar from Zion”. The minute I heard him sing it I felt the touch of the God on it. I helped in adding a verse and have begun to sing it recently. We sang it at an event the other night and the place erupted. Joel 3:16 says, "the Lord will roar from Zion...". He is coming to His church in great power and authority! This will be the church’s finest hour. He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the KING of PRAISE. (Judah means praise). If you want to stir the heart of the King, start releasing praise and watch out!

I believe Jesus, the Lion King, is about to roar! His enemies will be scattered in that moment. I’m reminded of one of the final scenes in Chronicles of Narnia when the Lion is on his way to save the day and while flying through the air erupts with a roar, completely and instantly slaying the enemy. He is coming to Zion!

If there is any way you can make it to the live worship recording, we would love to have you there. It is Friday, November 20th at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill. We will begin at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) I believe this will be a historic night in the Spirit as we release a prophetic sound to awaken the bride! It is a night of Preparing the Way of the Lord. We rehearsed with the band last Monday and the music and sound coming out of that rehearsal blew me away. I believe we’ve assembled the finest musicians for this evening, highly skilled and trained to know the sound of the King. For more information, go to Pureworship.com.

On a last note, we’re including a song off our Christmas record called “Thank You” for the free download of the month. It’s really a song for all year round and one of my favorites. Be blessed and we’ll be back next month.

See you November 20th!!

Hi Everybody,

I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying the goodness of God. The cooler weather and fall season is here and all the Texas people are happy!!

I'm in Michigan as I write this, attending my cousin's funeral. A very special and moving day as we remembered his life. I am amazed at all the lives he touched in his short time on earth. Although Eddie's life was not an easy one, he made a point to share God's love with those around him. I was again reminded of the brevity of life. My thoughts went to the many occasions we gathered at Eddie's house and then to the day when Father's family will all gather at the marriage supper of the lamb. Amazing thought that will soon be a reality. We'll get to see all the many loved ones that have gone on ahead. Wow!

The trees up north are turning colors and this is a spectacular time of year as the seasons change.

I've been selecting a few songs that I've recorded but never released for the free mp3 downloads. This month's release is titled "More of You". I remember driving along one day and realizing how much I need Him in my life but also understanding that for that to become a reality, less of me would be the result, which really is better anyway :). Hoping you're enjoying the music.

Please put on your calendar to join us November 20th for a LIVE recording (audio and video) at Trinity church in Cedar Hill. Kari Jobe will be joining me and I feel like God is going to release a prophetic stream that night preparing His people for the days ahead. Making way for the King is what we're doing. Please invite some friends and help us release God's heart for this hour.

I thank you for your prayers and support for what we do. It is my honor and joy to bring His people into the courts! 'Till next time....

Grace and peace

Hi Friends,

Wow! Another summer is wrapping up and school is back in session! Hasn’t been too hot of a summer in Texas although I have to be honest in telling you I’ve escaped some of the heat while in Michigan spending some time with the family. The Lord is good and remains forever faithful. Hoping that you’re enjoying the goodness of God every day of your life. I’m not talking about physical blessing but the steady presence of God in your every moment.

We just finished several great worship events and are looking forward to the new that’s coming. Kari Jobe and I did a night of worship at Covenant church in Carrollton, Texas and were able to reconnect with some friends and enjoy an awesome night in the presence. Hoping to do more of the same in the very near future. As I write this, I am on the way to Windsor, Canada to minister at the church and city in which I spent many of my earlier years. I'm believing God will meet us in a special way.

Mike Hayes recently spoke on worship and I was reminded that worship carries a cost. Abraham worshipped and was asked to sacrifice his only son. Solomon sacrificed in a major way before the glory was released. Mary broke open her alabaster box representing a year’s worth of income as she worshipped. God meets us at the altar of sacrifice. There is a cost involved and something should die at the altar. We should never leave the same as when we came, and more of His life, less of us, should be the result. In our modern culture we often desire a feel good experience but the life of God can only be revealed in us as we yield ours up.

These are hard times for many and I believe may become much more challenging. Who knows where the days to come will find the church. Practice the presence in your family and everyday living. Love and cherish God’s law, writing it upon your hearts. Mentor your children to do the same. Don’t allow the mindset of the world to press in on you. We are the called out ones, the elect, the salt and light in the earth!!
Upcoming Events

I want to give you an update on a few new and exciting things. We are starting a free mp3 download every month that I hope to continue for many years to come. My goal is to release songs that will bless the body and encourage. Come back and look for the free mp3 every month!

I’ll be a part of the CFNI Alumni Reunion in October that will reunite many of the worship leaders of the past for a live recording. Looking forward to that. If you are interested in joining us, you can find out more information on the CFNI website.

Please put on your calendars to join us for our next recording on November 20th at Trinity church in Cedar Hill. Kari Jobe will be joining me that evening and the purpose is to record an intimate night in the presence. Not looking for a lot of hype that evening but a night to make way for the King. Worship is going to release the prophetic in the church in the days ahead and the Spirit will speak to the bride and prepare her for the things to come.

Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for the worship you give to the King!

Grace on you!

Summer has arrived

Hi Everybody!

I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying family and friends. The last few days in Texas have been HOT! It seems that 100 degree days came early this year and summers seem shorter than they did when I was a kid!

The last few months have been busy with a lot of local events, not the norm for us as we are often out of town, but it's been great connecting with local churches and getting to stay close to home! Just finished the worship encounter with Lindell Cooley in Nashville; followed up by the Covenant worship conference here in Dallas. Both were amazing gatherings with the Lord speaking to His worshippers. Pastor Mike Hayes released a profound teaching on the sacrifice in worship that touched my heart deeply. In I Chronicles 21:24, David said “I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the LORD what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing.” True worship will always cost you something. Our worship should always produce a vision of the beauty of Jesus which results in change; transforming us as we decrease and He increases in our lives. During one of the nights in Nashville, Lindell began singing "You love your stuff too much" speaking to the people of God. It was a deep moment of truth. This is a new hour in the earth and we must gird our hearts and minds for what is to come. Soft Christianity isn't going to cut it in the days to come. I am deeply convicted that we must continue to anchor ourselves, and the people we minister to, into the truth of God's Word and stay in the presence for this hour.

Switching gears for a minute I wanted to share another thought with you. One of the modern day writers that has influenced my thinking is John Piper. When I began reading the book, “Desiring God”, I saw God’s purpose for us in the earth in a whole new light. Of course Piper has been deeply influenced by C.S. Lewis, Jonathan Edwards, and the likes. Some pretty great mentors. He says that "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied with Him". I’ve shared this with a lot of people and yet it remains an anchor for the way I want to live. The Father is truly glorified when you choose His life and His ways, His delights and fellowship above all other. When the stream that comes from His heart is the joy of your life, you glorify Jesus. Not when you make the most noise, but when you get out of bed in the morning and simply share all the moments with Him. I trust this truth is working in your life.

This month, we are releasing a reprint of an Instrumental project that we recorded several years ago called “Serenity.” I was at Gateway church the other day and they were playing it before and after services and I was asked if it was still available. We have received many requests for the CD and decided to reintroduce it. It is a compilation of melodies combining piano only selections along with some real cool loops and other instrumentation. You can listen to three of the cuts on our homepage at www.klausmusic.com . I am certain you will enjoy the music as I loved producing it! We're making it available for $7 a unit for the month of July. Buy several copies and give them out as gifts. Fill your home with praise.

Thank you for your prayers. Let's make Jesus great in the earth! Let the nations rage, the King is on His throne forever!!

Stay posted for some really great things to come. Looking forward to next time.

Enjoying Jesus Everyday

I know it’s been a while since my last blog so I wanted to update all on what has been going on and add a few thoughts to encourage you. We received an incredible response on “The Battle Hymn” project and it was used by many to pray for our nation. We had so many downloads the first few days that we had to increase the bandwidth on our website to accommodate everybody! We continue to get downloads and as you know, it is free.

I took a little bit of a needed break at the beginning of this year as last year had been pretty crazy with the release of “Glory” and a steady flow of worship events. It seems like life goes in spurts from days where you can’t get it all done, to days when you just get to kick back and enjoy.

That brings me to sharing this thought with you. I am not always the steady type! Must be the musician in me that makes me run at incredible speeds and then crash! I’m still working it out! Every now and then I need to be reminded that the joy in the journey is what is most important. In visiting with Lindell Cooley recently, we were talking about what you see in the news and all the headlines that wear you down. Lindell said something that I already knew but needed to be reminded of. He said that He was just enjoying Jesus everyday! Pretty simple, yet profound. God never asked us to right all the wrongs, but to simply walk out the journey with joy in fellowship with Him. His yoke is easy, His burden light. Jesus lived in a time where there was a lot of injustice, and when they asked Him if He was coming to save the day, He simply said His kingdom was not of this world! He came to restore, to bless, to release in the earth an everlasting kingdom. Are we doing that today? As much as I love America, and pray for God to turn our hearts towards Him, my hope is ultimately in a Kingdom that has no geographical boundaries but is only bound together by the blood of a King that died to save us. With a crown of thorns He became our King forever!

Let’s talk about worship for a minute. When Jesus encountered the woman at the well, He converted a broken rebel into a worshipper. The greatest theological statement in the New Testament about worship is found in this story. Restoration to worship and fellowship, the kind that Adam knew in the cool of the garden, is what He came for! That’s pretty simple but pretty great!

I hope you’re enjoying the springtime wherever you are. These are the last few months of great weather in Texas before the sun comes to wear us out!!

I wanted to make you aware of a new project we just released. It is the culmination of a lot of years of practice, study, and learning. It is our first PIANO Instructional DVD. Whether a beginner, or quite advanced, this DVD starts with the basics and then moves into voicing and more advanced playing techniques. Playing the piano is the one thing that is most natural to me and I try to make it simple in this DVD. It will teach you to play by ear and also move the classically trained into some freedom off of the page. The first of several to come and I believe a great tool for your library. Get it for someone that plays. Get it for someone that wants to learn how to play. Or just bless your church keyboard players with one.

Also, if you have not gotten a copy of “Glory”, our latest live worship release featuring a night of worship with Klaus, Kari Jobe, and Elizabeth Clark, do so today. We’ve been receiving incredible testimonies as people have experienced this prophetic and intimate evening of worship. We’ve been blessed to have Integrity Music partner with us in getting it out. Buy several copies and sow worship into the earth.

Because He’s Worthy Forever,

The Consequences of This Election Are High, So Pray
By Steve Strang

My inbox is full of e-mails from many Christian leaders calling for prayer and fasting and warning that if Sen. Barack Obama is elected, there are serious consequences for everything from right to life, to national security, to turning America toward European-style socialism. This week's report is a compilation of what I think are the most serious warnings. It is also a call to pray and to believe for a miracle to see John McCain get elected.

Meanwhile I'm being bombarded by some very strong negative comments from so-called “Christians”--most of them black--who are supporting Obama because he's black and blasting anyone who won't vote for him as racist. This is sad to me because I've worked all my adult life to build bridges of reconciliation to the black community. Click here to read Kim Daniel's important word on the election from a black woman who is not afraid to buck the trend of nearly everyone in the black community.

The first and most important item is a statement from Dutch Sheets about the spiritual ramifications of this election. You can read that at the end of this report. And you can click on the links below to download a prophetic song by Klaus Kuehn and a prayer from Dutch. Forward this and the entire Strang Report to your family and friends.

Klaus Kuehn, a singer/songwriter/worship leader, and Director of Pure Worship ministries, sees sending worship, and music that glorifies God, throughout the world as being vitally important.

"Our mission is to cover the earth with worship," said Klaus in a recent interview in Worship Musician Magazine. "God is up to something in the earth—He has begun to fill the nations with worship! …I love to worship—nothing thrills me more than to see people caught up in God's presence—it's the joy of my life."

Holding true to that philosophy, Klaus is offering a download—free of charge—of his latest version of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, which includes international intercessor Dutch Sheets, praying during the song.

Dutch says of the offering, "Klaus asked me to join him on this recent project. He has taken one of our nation's great songs and arranged it with a prayer, a call for mercy and grace for our nation. As we cry out to God during these next few days leading up to the presidential elections, make this song part of your petition to Heaven."

In Search of Excellence
By Klaus Kuehn

Does having a ‘tight’ worship team really matter to God?

All of us have had moments when one person’s simple, passionate worship touched us at the core of our being. Likewise, we’ve all been in services when the best musicians and the most polished worship team didn’t even begin to bring us into worship. I believe that blending anointing with musical excellence should always be our quest. In the everyday world, however, passionate and skillful worship leaders are not always in abundance, and at times we find ourselves having to choose between one and the other.
Most pastors agree that powerful worship should be high on the priority list of any service. Moreover, I believe every leader desires the atmosphere that pure worship creates. We’ve all experienced those moments during a meeting when no one knows what to do because God has made Himself known and you hear the whispers of His people responding to Him.

What does God say that He wants in our worship? He wants truth (see John 4:23). He delights in brokenness and contrition (see Ps. 51:17). He looks throughout the earth for a heart that is turned toward Him (see 2 Chr. 16:9). The heart, in fact, always comes first with God. Always.

Still, King David—a sincere worshiper—believed in musical excellence (see 1 Chr. 25:7). His 288 musicians were instructed in the songs of the Lord and were skillful. Similarly, King Solomon assigned the best players to minister to the Lord day and night. How then can we refrain from giving our absolute best to God and from becoming as skillful as we can?

When I led worship at Christ for the Nations, we met each morning for 45 minutes to worship and seek God’s presence. Some of the greatest moments in His presence would occur when 1,000 or more students gathered with no agenda except to meet with God at the beginning of every day. The atmosphere was charged with expectancy, as many students arrived an hour early to pray. The recordings of those meetings—which were student-led, unscripted and far from perfect—became some of the most beloved ones because of the passion and purity of worship. The truth is, God isn’t looking for perfection—He knows what that looks and sounds like. He Himself is perfect in every way. In us, He is looking for desperate hearts.

There is a generation of worshipers arising that love truth and heart more than perfected sound. They love raw and real more than polished. They know the difference, as all of us do.

Leadership really determines the course of any event. I know of churches where the worship is characterized by time constraints and well-rehearsed sets. Yet there is a touch of glory on what they do. I’ve also been in places where worship lasted an hour, and I was ready for it to be over.

I believe in demanding the highest levels of excellence. Worship leaders and bands should practice hard and be well-prepared but, most important, should also have hearts that are burning for God’s courts. My favorite leaders are those whose hearts are beating for God’s presence. I would rather hang around imperfect, desperate people that sing because they can’t keep silent than those who sing because it’s their job.

It isn’t by accident that the last several decades have seen worship music fill the earth. God is up to something. There is a sound arising that the nations will hear. My prayer is that the mature and seasoned worship leaders will make room for the young and passionate and will allow them to mature. Blend the old with the new. Mentor the young. Let’s fill the earth with the sound of the King. This is His day!

Battle Hymn with Prayer by Dutch Sheets

We have just added a prayer by Dutch Sheets to the end of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. This is a moving prayer for this nation. Our hope is that it will motivate individuals, prayer groups, and churches to pray for this nation.

Again, all the downloads are free. We are making this available because we want everybody to have a copy. We have already received incredible reports from people that have heard the prayer version.

Please forward this to your friends, prayer leaders, and pastors and let’s join together in praying for America in this critical hour.

May God Bless America

Klaus

Battle Hymn Of The Republic
by Julia Ward Howe | William Steffe | Klaus Kuehn

Chorus 1
Glory Glory hallelujah Glory Glory hallelujah
Glory Glory hallelujah His truth is marching on

Verse 1
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on

Verse 2
He has sounded forth the trumpet
That shall never call retreat
He is sifting out the hearts of men
Before His judgment seat
O be swift my soul to answer Him
Be jubilant my feet
Our God is marching on

Verse 3
In the beauty of the lilies
Christ was born across the sea
With a glory in His bosom
That transfigures you and me
As He died to make men holy
Let us live to make men free
While God is marching on

Bridge
Send forth your truth and your light o God
Cover the Nation with Praise

Prayer by Dutch Sheets
Lord, our nation is in a desperate place. We deserve the grapes of wrath spoken of in this song. We have turned away from you and worshiped the idols of pleasure, money, self and other religions. We mock You, Your Son and Your ways, calling evil good and good evil. We are a nation filled with violence, immorality, greed and unfaithfulness. Our schools refuse to acknowledge You as Creator and as a result, we have produced a generation of young people that search for identity through drugs, sex, gangs, even cutting and self-mutilation. God, our leaders have turned from You. We've denied our destiny and Godly heritage, refusing to acknowledge that You formed America for Your purposes. We've expelled You and Your laws from our schools, businesses, government and public places. But Lord, we believe that in wrath, You remember mercy and that mercy triumphs over judgment. So God, we cry out for your mercy and your love and grace. Please forgive us and send a great spiritual awakening to America. Lift the veil of darkness and deception off of us. Give us righteous leaders, God, and laws that honor you once again. Give us righteous leaders and laws once again. Send forth Your truth and light to America again. Send forth Your truth and light to America again. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Battle Hymn of the Republic

We were doing a worship event a little while back, and I felt inspired to sing The Battle Hymn of the Republic. When we sang it the place erupted. The song, written in the 1800¹s, was an anthem for truth and freedom. As we sang the words, my heart was moved. It¹s a call to action. "Be swift my soul to answer Him be jubilant my feet, His truth is marching on", and, "as He died to make men holy let us live to make men free" are a couple of lines that move the soul.

We recorded the song on our last night of worship and it was supposed to be on the "Glory" release but we ran out of time on the CD and cut the song. A few weeks ago I awoke and really felt like we needed to release the song at this critical time. We got the guys together and recorded the tracks, and then drove to Fort Worth to record the Trimble Tech High School Chamber Choir, who did an awesome job. We are so excited about releasing this anthem.

What an incredibly important time in history as we fight for the soul of a nation. The culture is awash in relativism. There is great fear and uncertainty everywhere. This song is one of hope because regardless of what we see around us, His truth marches on. And of His Kingdom there will be no end.

Psalm 43:3 says O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your Holy hill and to Your dwelling places.

If ever there was a time when we need God¹s truth and light to shine on us, it is now. We added a bridge to the battle hymn that says, "Send forth Your truth and Your light O God, cover the nation with praise". It is at this time that we must ask God to guide this nation with light and truth and for us to cover the land with prayer and worship.

We want to blast this song out there as far and wide as we can. It is a free download on our site and we are asking you to get the word out to everybody you know. You can use the "forward to friend" link above to send this to your friends. Have them download it and get their friends to do the same. We want the message to inspire at this time.

SEND OUT YOUR TRUTH AND YOUR LIGHT O GOD. YOUR TRUTH IS MARCHING ON AND ON AND ON..FOREVER.

Bless you guys,
